Welcome to Delicate Home Care. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and the wound dressing services we provide. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
About Delicate Home Care
Delicate Home Care provides professional wound dressing services to clients living in Adelaide's western suburbs. Services are delivered by a Registered Nurse and are designed to support safe, evidence-based wound management in the comfort of the client's home.
Scope of Services
We currently provide:
Wound assessment
Wound dressing changes
Post-operative wound care
Pressure injury management
Skin tear management
Compression bandaging
Wound monitoring and progress reporting
Services are available Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, by appointment.
Eligibility
To receive our services, clients must:
Provide accurate and complete information.
Consent to receiving nursing care.
Ensure a safe environment for home visits.
Notify us of any significant changes to their health before scheduled appointments.
Referrals
Referrals may be submitted by:
General Practitioners
Hospitals
Specialists
Home Care Package providers
Allied Health Professionals
Family members or carers (with the client's consent)
Clients themselves
All referrals are reviewed by a Registered Nurse. Acceptance of a referral is subject to clinical suitability, service availability and operational capacity.
Appointments
Appointments are arranged by mutual agreement.
Please ensure:
Someone is present at the scheduled appointment if required.
Pets are safely secured where appropriate.
A safe and accessible environment is available for the nurse to provide care.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice where possible.
Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may affect our ability to continue providing services.
Fees and Payment
Fees for services will be discussed prior to commencement.
Invoices are payable in accordance with the payment terms provided.
Where services are funded through a Home Care Package or another funding arrangement, billing will be completed in accordance with the relevant agreement.
Clinical Decision Making
Our Registered Nurse will assess each wound and provide care based on current clinical evidence, professional judgement and the client's individual needs.
Where necessary, we may recommend referral back to the treating General Practitioner, specialist or hospital.
Emergencies
Delicate Home Care does not provide emergency or after-hours nursing services.
If you experience:
Severe bleeding
Signs of sepsis
Chest pain
Difficulty breathing
Any medical emergency
please call 000 immediately or attend your nearest Emergency Department.
Limitation of Services
Delicate Home Care reserves the right to decline or discontinue services where:
The requested care falls outside our scope of practice.
The environment is considered unsafe.
Required clinical information is unavailable.
The client does not provide informed consent.
Behaviour towards our staff is abusive, threatening or unsafe.
Privacy
Personal and clinical information is collected, used and stored in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
